I joined twitter

Yesterday i decided to join twitter again. I had an account about a year ago when no one used it but i don’t know what the login was. So anyway, it hasn’t changed much, it’s pretty simple. To be honest, I think it’s boring but thats just because nobody i know uses it so my only twitter feed is Stephen Fry.

Maybe it’ll pick up soon…

the grind

Just when i thought everything was going to start off well this year, and that the holidays had been a ‘detox’(really NOT of food in any way, but generally) this week started.

Being the ultra-amazing forward thinker that I am I left reading all of Great Expectations to 3 days before i needed to finish it and i’ve spent the last 3 of these days reading something like 5 hours a day. Oh, and i still haven’t technically finished it. I’ve tried everything to try and make it go easier and maybe slightly faster: audiobooks, skim reading, not reading, but i’ve finally given up, 100 small fonted pages from the end. I spent the last hour using sparknotes.com as my bible and read all the chapter summaries for the ones I haven’t read, it’s so good to be ‘finished’. Even though it’s only been 3 days, this book has taken over my life; I almost asked my cat if she was ‘my benefactor’ the other day instead of asking it to move out the way. I’m using this and the fact I’m really tired as an excuse why some of this might not make sense.

But anyway, that’s done now, and now my pile of work has got ever slightly smaller. What’s that? I have a chemistry exam on MONDAY? Oh great, if only i’d gone to the mock. So, did I also mention that I have 11 emails to send to PRs and stuff, aaaaahhhhhh. 

I’m consoling myself and saying everything will be back to normal by monday, i really really hope.
